Get out an old photo album or yearbook and flip through the pages.

If you could have one moment or decision in your life to do over, what would it be and what would you change?

“It has become necessary for me to take time every week to unplug, put away the phone, put away the computer, and break free from the rush and pace of the week. I get so used to being so connected, it can be hard to break free. But every time I do, it’s like a whole different world opens up.” (Dave Ryan)

Remember a couple months ago when your water glass rippled like in Jurassic Park? That was the arrival in Los Angeles of LACMA’s Levitated Mass – a 680,000 pound granite megalith (or, rock) now suspended over a walkway at the museum. Stand beneath it, if you dare, and challenge someone to a debate over whether it’s art.

Circus Bella is an open air, one-ring circus featuring contemporary, high-level acts set to an original score performed by live musicians. Awesome, obviously. This Saturday, it runs twice in Yerba Buena Park (Mission between 3rd and 4th) where we’re invited to bring blankets and picnics and watch the free show. And, arrive an hour before show time and marvel at the sheer feat of setting the whole thing up.

Another hot weekend, this one is. Get IN the water. Well, technically on the water but it’s as close as you’ll want to get. Downtown Boathouse has free kayaking! It’s true, just walk up, get a life vest, sign a waiver, and row around the Hudson. Pier 40 (at Houston) and Pier 96 (at 56th St.) both have kayaks waiting.
