Make a list of 5 things you want to say to someone but haven’t. Consider the pros and cons of saying them.

If you could gain immediate proficiency in a new language, which one would you choose and why?

“When I unplug, I literally UNPLUG. I don’t just turn off the computer, TV and phone. I disconnect them from the wall. No pulsing lights, no standby power indicator. Nothing. I sense a certain amount of static noise from electronics, even when they are turned off, if they are still connected to a power source. It helps me truly relax and refocus. And if I do get the urge to flip the TV on, chances are that I will be too lazy to go plug it in.” (Christopher Farber)

You’ve probably been to the Getty Center, but have you checked out the Getty Villa lately? This is a replica of an actual Roman Villa complete with gardens, fountains, reflecting pools and an amphitheatre. And that doesn’t even include the museum. Once a “country house” for Mr.Getty, now a peaceful refuge for Angelenos. Tickets are free but you have to reserve them in advance. Don’t forget the olives and grapes.

Lindy in the Park? It’s been going for 16 years! We’re a little late to the party so we wanna catch up. It all happens in Golden Gate Park on Sundays, but this is so cool – feel free to adjust your UNDOing by a day. Leaders and followers are rotated throughout the lesson so no partner is required. DJ’s Ken and Naomi spin swing tunes from 11 am – 2 pm. Lessons begin at noon and all ages/levels encouraged. Let the swinging begin.

It’s been awhile since we took the ferry to Staten Island and the place is chock-a-block with stuff to do. Free kayaking, a county fair, farmer’s markets and possibly our fave – the Staten Island Yankees take on the Brooklyn Cyclones with fireworks after the game. Summer’s not over yet.
